Description of the Land

HARDLUCK MINE CASTLE 35 miles south Of Goldfield, Esmeralda County, Nevada
40 deeded acres including a patented gold claims dating back to 1897 signed by President William McKinley, Emerson and Hard Luck Lodes. This remote property is surrounded by thousands of acres of BLM land. Remote, desolate, secluded, private, “in the middle of nowhere,” are all terms that describe the location of the Hardluck Mine Castle. Nearly thirteen years of construction have gone into the building of this Gothic style Castle in the middle of the desert. The Castle foundation consists of 65 yards of special concrete and the footings are on solid rock. There are about 22,000 concrete blocks in the Castle with 16 inch solid concrete walls. The foundation is 50 feet in diameter. When completed the Castle will consist of nearly 8,000 sq. ft., with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, large main dining room, great room with 2 pipe organs, wine cellar, electrical room and media room . The project is nearing completion and when done will provide a private fortress with its spiral staircase and balconies all constructed with concrete and steel except for the medieval style thick wooden doors. The compound is completely self contained, off the grid and separated from the real world!
The Hardluck Gold mine was active from 1897 until World War II. Very little mining has been done since then, but the potential is there. The existing vertical mine shaft descends approximately 160 ft. and there is also an abandoned horizontal shaft that is currently being used for storage. Additional improvements include a functional old Miners shack, R.V Pad and a large fully equipped shop.
Water is trucked in from a nearby spring and stored in a 3,000 gallon hillside storage tank providing gravity flow water. Electricity is provided by Solar and Wind power with 3 types of backup generators, gasoline, LP gas and diesel. All heating is LP gas. There is a 3,000 gallon LP gas tank.
Included in the offering is an extensive list of equipment, tools, vehicles, tractors, etc.
The Hardluck Mine Castle is a unique property that can provide for an escape, retreat, or remote compound for any individual or group looking to disappear from society desiring the ultimate in remote privacy. The Castle is located in Esmeralda County, Nevada one of the most lenient Counties in the Country regarding Government rules and regulations.
